Dr. Jaakko Yrjö-Koskinen

Dr Jaakko Yrjö-Koskinen is Special Advisor at the Social and Health Services Department of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health of Finland. He holds a Master’s Degree in Health Services Management from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and a doctoral degree from the University of Heidelberg. He has acted as public health and health management advisor in bilateral development projects in Mozambique, Angola and Rwanda. He also has extensive experience working in the clinical setting in hospitals in Finland. At the Ministry, he is currently involved in the setting up of a genomics center, a national cancer center and a joint operator for biobanks.
