Alena obtained her PhD from Heidelberg University. During that time she worked on Wnt protein secretion in Michael Boutros’s lab at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ). After she joined AstraZeneca in Gothenburg for a postdoc and focused on utilising extracellular vesicles as drug delivery vehicles.
