Dr Eugenia Colon

After graduating as MD, Dr Eugenia Colon followed clinical pathology training at Karolinska University Hospital. This was followed by a visiting residence in Boston at Beth Israel Hospital in Breast Pathology with Dr. Stuart J. Schnitt and after that by a Cytology Fellowship at South Hospital in Stockholm with Dr. Anders Herder.

She then became a Consultant in Histopathology at Karolinska University Laboratory, South Hospital in Stockholm, where she trained in breast pathology and cytology. In 2013 she was appointed as responsible for the area of cytology in the same hospital.

In 2017 she is appointed as a Senior Consultant at Sankt Görans Hospital, Unilabs Department of Pathology where she is assigned as the Lead Consultant of Breast Pathology.

Dr. Colon is a member of the Swedish Association of Pathology Council and is responsible for Continuing Education at Unilabs.

She has contributed chapters to textbooks in Gynecological Pathology and several papers in the area. Currently, she contributes to the group of Development in AI and Digital Pathology at Unilabs-Sweden.
