Prof Hans Gelderblom is head of the department of medical oncology at Leiden University Medical Center in the Netherlands. He is a specialist in sarcoma and personalized medicine and active in onco-politics. He is co-prinicipal investigator of the Drug Rediscovery Protocol in the Netherlands: a large scale nationwide effort to provide access to targeted drugs outside the registered indication and to study it’s efficacy and molecular basis. He is (co)leading the EU-funded European consortiums PCM4EU and PRIME-ROSE: aiming at development of diagnostics, decision tools, data-analysis and -sharing, reimbursement and further extension of the DRUP-like trials into the EU.
