Lester Darryl Geneviève is a biomedical ethicist and postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Biomedical Ethics of the University of Basel in Switzerland. His current research interests include public health ethics, the ethics of precision health, the threat posed by structural racism to health equity and social justice, and the ethics of health data processing. He is the principal investigator of a research project – funded by the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences – investigating the presence and impact of structural racism in Swiss precision oncology initiatives. Regarding his educational background, Lester has a Master of Medicine from the University of Bordeaux in France, a Master of Science in Global Health from the University of Geneva and a PhD in Biomedical Ethics (summa cum laude) from the University of Basel in Switzerland.
In addition, he is currently doing a postgraduate certificate in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom. Lester is also a member of the following associations and societies: Emerging Health Care Leaders program of the Swiss National Science Foundation, Sigma Xi – the Scientific Research Honor Society, European Public Health Association, Swiss Public Health and British Computer Society.
