Dr. Sasi Arunachalam is a wet-lab biologist who has transitioned into computational biology and cancer genomics. He has gained valuable cancer genomics research experience working from top cancer institutions such as St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Huntsman Cancer Institute.
Dr. Sasi has extensive experience on Next Generation Sequence analysis such as RNA seq, WES, WGS, SNP, fusion genes and structural variants.
He has been responsible for analysis of diagnostic, relapsed and clinical trials of adult and pediatric cancer patient samples for clinical biomarker discovery. Dr. Sasi’s analysis of 800 non-cancer patient samples (including children) illuminates the potential precursors of blood cancers which was published in blood cancer discovery and this research was highlighted in many science magazines and news.
Dr. Sasi currently leads genomic analysis with an aim of building Software As Medical Device (SAMD) at Citadel Precision Medicine, for Precision decision making of treatment strategies or cancer prognosis”.
