Grethe S. Foss is Senior Adviser and Project Leader for personalised medicine at the Norwegian Directorate of Health. She has a PhD in genetic regulation of the immune system from University of Oslo and a postdoc in genetics at University of Oxford. For twelve years she was Senior Adviser at the Norwegian Biotechnology Advisory Board working on ethical, legal and social aspects of modern biotechnology, including genetic testing.
She worked five years as Medical Lead Vaccines Norway at Pfizer before joining the Norwegian Directorate of Health, Department of Health Law and Biotechnology a year ago.
