Dany Bell Strategic Advisor Treatment, Medicines and Genomics in  cancer care, Macmillan Cancer Support

In her role at Macmillan, Dany advises the organisation around this thematic area strategically and UK wide, she provides clinical services advice and develops and supports the charity’s links with a range of external organisations and clinical leaders. Prior to joining Macmillan in 2014 Dany worked in the NHS for 31 years, working clinically in surgical oncology and palliative care 1986 – 1997 before taking on a variety of roles in senior management within specialist palliative care, EOL and cancer services across 17 years. She has always been passionate about improving care and services for people with cancer and their families, including improving quality of life, physical symptom management and the support around psychological impacts of cancer. Subsequently becoming interested in how technological advances improve diagnosis and treatment and what the workforce needs to empower them to integrate into their clinical practice.
