Dr. Haraldsdottir is a medical oncologist with a particular focus on cancer genetics, mismatch repair deficient cancers and gastrointestinal malignancies.

Dr. Haraldsdottir spent the last 13 years in the United States at academic institutions including Stanford University and Ohio State University before relocating to Landspitali University Hospital to assume the role of associate professor and physician-in-chief of medical oncology in fall of 2021.

Dr. Haraldsdottir´s research focuses on Lynch syndrome, immunotherapy in mismatch repair deficient cancers as well as translational research in GI malignancies.
