Margareta Haag is the Chair of the Swedish Network against cancer – an umbrella organization for cancer-profiled patient organizations and their families. As a Lymphoma patient since 1994 and Lymphoedema patient since 1995, Margareta acts as a patient representative.
Margareta is the Former Executive Director for an international professional body and The Federation of Biomedical Laboratory Science as well as holding the following positions:
President for the umbrella organization Network against cancer, President of the Swedish Association of Chronic Oedema, member of the Patient Advisory Council of the Ministry of Social Affairs 2019-21, member of the WG Precision medicine/ATMP within the Government´s Innovation partnership programme Health and life science, member of the steering committee of All.Can.se, member of Patient Advocacy 2.0, member of the Patient Advisory Council of GPCC (Centre for person-centered care, Gothenburg University), board member of Agenda for health and well-being, member society of Research Sweden, member of the steering group of EUPATI Sweden and member of Zero Vision Cancer, Precision Health.
